Saturday, June 17th
For our 35th anniversary, we’re returning to our mountain town roots. The RMMR event will be held in Cripple Creek Colorado, a small mountain town about an hour west of Colorado Springs. With several hundred participants, this is one of the largest Mustang-focused shows you’ll find in the Rocky Mountain region!
The Show n’ Shine is NOT a concours judged competition, but does offer judging in a variety of Mustang-specific classes as listed below. Staging will begin at 7:00 am with a 10:00 am start and will end promptly at 3:00 pm.
The Show n’ Shine will accommodate up to 300 mustangs and will take place along Bennett Ave., the main thoroughfare of the town.
Winners in each of the Show n’ Shine classes will be selected by Judging Teams (residents of the Colorado Springs community) using the following non-concours criteria: Cleanliness, Craftsmanship and Quality.
The Judging Teams will rate each car’s engine, Interior, Exterior, Wheels / Tires, and Overall Appearance. Each category is worth 5 points for a maximum of 25 points.
If there are significant changes from stock in any of the above categories, please register in the appropriate modified class.
Current model year cars (2023) will only be judged via Popular Vote and Specialty Awards. All Up and Coming entries will be subject to reclassification per Judging Chair discretion. Additional trophies will be awarded, which include Vanity Plate, Hard Luck, Young Owner, Long Distance (individual) and Long Distance (club). To be eligible for either of the Long-Distance awards, vehicle(s) must be driven the distance to and from the show (trailered vehicles ineligible).

For those interested in the agility and handling of their Mustang, we recommend the RMMR autocross. This timed event is sure to test the handling of your Mustang and your skills as a driver. The goal is to make it through a course of traffic cones as fast as possible without hitting any.
This event takes place in a large open parking lot outside PPIR, and away from barricades and hazards. Cars go one at a time. Autocross is one of the safest and easiest ways to dip your toe into racing your car. Check out this helpful and in-depth article on what to expect at an autocross.
New for 2023, you can sign up to drive more than 1 registered vehicle as long as the 2nd registered vehicle is not in the same class as the 1st vehicle. Doing this will allow the driver to only be eligible for a trophy when driving the 1st registered vehicle.

- Blue – Intermediate Group, minimum of four track events. No experience at PPIR.
